Impression Free Living

I just found out how to make your day better (that is if you are having one of those every-one-my-age-makes-more-money-than-me-and-I-just-dress-well-because-I'm-a-fraud days (and by you having one of those days I mean me)). I just went to the Denver Art Museum (DAM), and today (Saturday) is their free day. Now DAM has a decent but very small collection of paintings. I was strolling around looking at the English Landscape Painters when I saw this girl (art student?) trying to learn who to sketch from the one of the paintings. Good job, I thought, and then I say what she was trying to draw. F***ING MONET!!!! Who the blep tries to learn how to draw from the F***ING worthless impressionists (In case you are asking which impressionists are worthless, all of them (Degas, and Renoir are not impressionists.)) I mean how lazy are you? You call yourself and art student! I could just imagine what went through her head, "Should I Copy the Van Dyke?, the Wright of Derby?, the Bottecili?, the West?, the Reminton?, the Berstadt? No, I think I go for Monet because I can just scribble on the paper that way." So how does all this make my day better? I left the Museum and felt good because I had just seen some great art and I had not wasted a second in front of those god-forsaken-ugly-childish Monets.
