Herodotus, again
Another Classic from the master historian:
[Pharaoh] was blind for ten years, and in the eleventh he received an oracle ... to the effect that ... he would recover his sight, if he washed his eyes with the urine of a woman who had never lain with any man except her husband. [Pharaoh] tried his wife first, but without success.
Book II, 111.

Someone should start a Herodotus blog. If you find the part where he talks about how this one tribe mates like cows, would you post it?
I just read about them, they're somewhere in Book One, but I can't find the section. On the other hand I found the first mention of cannabis in literature at Book One, 202.
Are you reading that for school or pleasure?
Just for the hell of it while I'm on break.
